Week of April 18

Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

Last Week

It was so good to be together again this week! We found that we really missed each other and it was good to catch up. One of the best parts of the week was that on Wednesday EVERYONE was at school! That does not happen that often these days, so we celebrated 🙋!

We will begin taking our 3rd and final sessions of NWEA testing soon. PLEASE be sure that your child's computer is fully charged each day. We will be testing first thing in the morning so we must have computers charged and ready. Thank you for your attention to this important detail each evening. I will give you the dates of the testing in next week's blog.

Our class previewed the Book Fair on Thursday. Your child may have come home with some ideas of books he/she might like. The fair is open all week in our Media Center.

Snack and Leaders

Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.

Due to allergies, please refrain from sending snacks that contain any kind of nut. If you are able to send Gluten free snacks that would be great too. Thank you!

We will snack in the morning each day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.  Thank you for sending a leak-proof water bottle with your child each day.

Next week we will open a classroom, 3 D Shape Museum. If you and your child would like to "loan" an item or 2 to our museum it would be great.
